Family Medicine And Urgent Care

Dr. Christopher Westbrook

Dr. Christopher Westbrook earned his undergraduate degree at McMaster University in kinesiology and his medical degree from the University of Western Ontario. He completed his family medicine residency at the University of Toronto and completed a third year of training once again through McMaster University in rural emergency medicine.

Dr. Westbrook has been a dedicated family physician at Medical Associates of Port Perry and has also served as an emergency medicine physician at Lakeridge Health for over 10 years. His leadership includes a term as Chief of Emergency Medicine at Lakeridge Health’s Port Perry Hospital, as well as a board member of Medical Associates of Port Perry. He also teaches residents and medical students from both Queen’s University and the University of Toronto.

Dr. Westbrook now joins Priority Health Urgent Care as an urgent care physician.

Dr. Ehsan Samiee

Dr. Samiee completed his training at University of Toronto in 2017 after graduating medical school at Saba University School of Medicine. In addition to family medicine, he practices emergency medicine at Lakeridge Health, where he served as Chief of Emergency Medicine and assistant medical director of emergency medicine at Port Perry hospital. His main interests are teaching, acute medicine and point of care ultrasound. His practice is strongly focused on person focused, and evidence-based medicine. He aims to empower his patients to reach their health goals and help to make a healthier community.

Dr. Fariborz Fazileh

Dr. Fariborz Fazileh obtained both his undergraduate and medical degrees from the Tehran University of Medical Sciences in Iran. Subsequently, he completed his family medicine residency at the University of Toronto and has since dedicated himself to serving those living in Durham Region.

In Port Perry, Dr. Fazileh practices comprehensive family medicine. He has also served as a board member for the Medical Associates of Port Perry.

Furthermore, he holds a position as an emergency medicine physician at various Lakeridge Health hospitals, including Ajax Pickering Hospital. Beyond his clinical roles, Dr. Fazileh is actively involved in the training and mentorship of medical students and residents from both Queen’s University and the University of Toronto.

A fervent proponent of evidence-based medicine, Dr. Fazileh’s approach to patient care is comprehensive. He considers a multitude of factors influencing his patients’ well-being and integrating physical, mental, social, emotional, intellectual, vocational, and environmental dimensions into his medical practice.

Dr. Nikhil Anand

Dr. Nikhil Anand obtained his Doctor of Medicine degree from St. George’s University in Grenada and his Family Medicine residency training at the University at Buffalo in New York state. His clinical interests span preventive medicine, global health, academic medicine, and urgent care. Dr. Anand’s diverse medical background includes training and practicing in four countries and nine cities, which has instilled a profound understanding of varied healthcare needs in different patient populations. This global perspective influences his approach to patient care, ensuring a culturally sensitive and comprehensive understanding of health and wellness
Outside of practicing medicine, Dr. Anand enjoys travelling, collecting antiques, exploring genealogy, reading about astronomy, and spending time with his nieces and nephews.

Dr. Jennifer Jayakar

Dr. Jennifer Jayakar is a family physician from the east Greater Toronto Area (GTA) who enjoys seeing people across the entire age spectrum and from different backgrounds. She completed her undergraduate and medical education and residency training at the University of Toronto. She has worked in various clinical practices including community health centres, walk-in clinics, family practices and telemedicine platforms. She believes that the best way to facilitate health is with the use of preventative medicine/lifestyle and initiation of prompt treatment after disease onset. Her goal is to work with patients to better their overall well-being, which includes both their physical and mental health.

Dr. Sandeep Dhillon

Dr. Sandeep Dhillon is a health-care professional with a strong academic and clinical background. He holds an undergraduate degree in kinesiology and Health Sciences from York University, a Doctorate in Physiology from the University of Toronto, and has completed his medical degree and residency training also at the University of Toronto. Currently serving as a hospitalist at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, Dr. Dhillon has also spent six years as an emergency medicine physician at Lakeridge Health. He continues to contribute to the field through his teaching role at the University of Toronto, where he instructs undergraduate physiology courses. Dr. Dhillon’s dedication to health care and education underscores his commitment to advancing medical knowledge and providing exceptional patient care. Dr. Dhillon joins Priority Health Urgent Care as an urgent care physician.

Dr. Sharon Nadarajah

Dr. Sharon Nadarajah graduated from St. George’s University School of Medicine and completed her family medicine residency at the University at Buffalo. She is passionate about building connections with her patients and serving her community. Her medical interests include women’s health and preventive care. Outside of work, she enjoys playing the piano and guitar, travelling with her husband, and spending time with her family.
